Sergio’s was established as a mom and pop sandwich shop in 1975.
In 1970, a Cuban family left everything in Cuba due to the Castro regime and headed to the United States to start a new life. While in Miami, the daughter expressed to her mother the desire to have a restaurant that could provide fresh, authentic, homemade Cuban food to thousands of Cubans living in South Florida.
Today, Sergio’s has evolved to full-scale family restaurants that infuse her family’s Cuban secret recipes with typical Latin and American dishes. The family’s dedication to using only best and freshest products has made Sergio’s an institution for Cuban, comfort food in South Florida.
The family’s unique ability to serve mouth-watering, traditional Cuban dishes and infuse new products with its Latin flavor keeps Sergio’s among the freshest and premier neighborhood restaurants in South Florida. From Cuban traditional dishes to new menu items such as crema and fritura de malanaga, cuba-nachos, black beans hummus or guayaba biscottis, Sergio’s keep pushing the envelope for its customers and is illustrating why it is truly The American Cafe with the Latin Flavor.
